Jason Silva and The White House “We the Geeks” Google+ Hangout

As a member of the newly formulated team by Planetary Resources, the Planetary Community Vanguards, I feel that it’s important that all my viewers on this blog are kept up-to-date on all our activities, even the exciting activities of that of Planetary Resources itself! To live up to this promise, I’d like to share with you two videos that I find both awe-inspiring and educational.

The first video will be an inspirational call of solidarity to Planetary Resources, the Vanguards, and our recent Kickstarter campaign, by the wonder-junkie himself Jason Silva!

The second video is quite important, in my opinion, due to the mass information given by very influential people among their fields. The video is a Google+ hangout hosted by The White House, known as “We the Geeks”, which featured Bill Nye, Executive Director of the Planetary Society, Ed Lu, former astronaut and CEO of B612 FoundationJosé Luis Galache, an Astronomer at the International Astronomical Union’s Minor Planet CenterLori Garver, Deputy Administrator of NASA, and Peter Diamandis, Co-Founder and Co-Chairman of Planetary Resources. The hangout hosted talks of asteroids and how each individual and their companies/organizations are addressing the imminent threat of asteroids to our planet.

I’d also like to remind everyone here that the Kickstarter campaign to help fund the ARKYD 100 Space Telescope is still going on, where we’ve already reached over 60% of its funding. We’re not there yet, though, and could still use as much help as possible to reach the maximum potential funding as possible. So come on over and help fund history in the making!
